On Saturday, 17 April 2010, Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) held a meeting with Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), which yielded the conclusion that violence and discrimination against citizens of Serbia, regardless of their differences, is an unacceptable manner of action.

Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) and Socialdemocratic party of Serbia (SDP) recognise each other as holding similar values and will cooperate on issues concerning the improvement of the status of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) people in Serbia, – these were the main conclusions of today’s meeting between GSA and SDP in Belgrade.

Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) received a high level of support from Socialdemocratic Union (SDU) and League of Socialdemocrats of Vojvodina (LSV) in the process of solving the status of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) people in Serbia, and they have most severely condemned violence and discrimination against this population.

Democratic party (DS) most severely condemns and regards as unacceptable any violence and discrimination against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) people in Serbia.

At the meeting today with the delegation of Gay Straight Alliance (GSA), which was held in the Serbian Parliament, the Speaker of the Serbian Parliament – Slavica Đukić Dejanović – expressed great understanding of the problems which are daily met by gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in Serbia.
