Security directions for arriving at the Pride Parade 2010

Pride Parade will be held on 10th October 2010 in Park Manjež in Belgrade, from where, after the initial addresses of guests from the country, region and abroad, the walk will begin along Nemanjina Street, to Kneza Miloša Street and Masarikova Street, and the whole event will end with a party in Student Cultural Centre (Studentski kulturni centar – SKC).

We write to you regarding certain information which appeared in the media (daily newspapers “Alo“ in the issue from 16th September 2010, attached) with a request to urgently start an inquiry into the case of Miroljub Petrović, who calls himself the director of Institute for natural medicine and of Center for natural studies, and who apparently runs the so-called Center for curing “homosexualism“ and is currently building a clinic on Fruška gora which will also deal with this “business“.

Ministry of Culture open to cooperation on fighting hate speech towards GLBT population in Serbia

Representatives of Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) held a meeting today with the state secretary of the Ministry of Culture Nadica Momirov. The central topic of the meeting was hate speech against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) people in Serbia which appears in media, and ways to combat it. In addition, GSA acquainted the state secretary with its legal trial which is being conducted under the Law on information and the Law against discrimination.
