Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) and Queeria – center for the promotion of culture of non-violence and equality (Queeria) issued today an invitation to organisations which work on the promotion and protection of human rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) people in Serbia to reach a mutual decision about holding the Pride Parade.

There is a need for a systemic and longterm solution of the status of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) people in Serbia, it was concluded at the meetings between Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) and the representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Health.

Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) held today in Belgrade the last of a series of meetings with representatives of parliamentary political parties in Serbia. The meeting was with Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO) which was represented by Aleksandar Čotrić, president of the Executive board of SPO and an MP.

On Saturday, 17 April 2010, Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) held a meeting with Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), which yielded the conclusion that violence and discrimination against citizens of Serbia, regardless of their differences, is an unacceptable manner of action.

Democratic party (DS) most severely condemns and regards as unacceptable any violence and discrimination against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) people in Serbia.
